Introduction

According to the United States Department of Energy, natural gas currently fuels approximately 22 percent of the United States’ energy needs, generating about 21 percent of electric power, supplying heat to 56 million households and providing approximately 33 percent of all primary energy needs for the industry. Natural gas is one of the cleanest, safest and most useful of all energy sources, and is a vital component of the world’s energy supply.

EOG Resources, Inc. is one of the largest independent oil and natural gas companies in the United States with approximately 85 percent of our current total company production volumes attributable to natural gas. Largely focused on North America, our natural gas exploration and development efforts will continue to help the United States and Canada meet their energy needs.
